We spent the week in Barcelona attending the SAP Hybris Live Global Summit, along with thousands of the best and brightest in eCommerce.
The three-day agenda was jam packed with forward-thinking content designed to get everyone thinking about the future of commerce — from microservice architecture to image recognition tech, to the broader concept of digital transformation. It's all about the experience.
The day-to-day sessions had a focus on real-time commerce, with topics like "marketing in the moment" and lots of content related to real-time personalization. There were also practical sessions demonstrating the latest in SAP Hybris Commerce 6.
While at the event, we had the opportunity to present alongside our client, TGI Fridays', Director of Marketing Technology about transforming their ordering experience using SAP Hybris. Check out the recording below (opens in a new tab).
As expected, microservices were another hot topic this week, specifically how using service-oriented architecture is helping leading brands scale faster and smarter. We help our customers like ALDO and rubbr take SAP Hybris to new, unexpected thresholds using modern architectures. During the event, our GM of SAP Hybris, Diego Costa, took a few minutes to discuss ALDO's customer experience with Roberto Lancione, IT Director at ALDO.
It wasn't all work, of course! The entertainment was on point, and the venue was great. There were plenty of opportunities for valuable networking. And, as an added bonus, we got to play with all kinds of neat interactive tech, like the Galaxy Experience that lets attendees step into a geodesic dome to experience a whole new level of personalization.
Looking forward to next year!
