Building Community

Being part of the exciting and fast-moving eCommerce industry means we think about the way that consumers shop... a lot. In fact, understanding and improving customer experience for our clients ultimately drives everything we do here at Thinkwrap. We seek to understand what motivates shoppers both online and in-store and we pour our hearts into creating a truly remarkable experience for shoppers worldwide.

The months and weeks leading up to the holiday shopping period are nothing short of insane for retailers and customers alike. Our 24/7 support team goes all-in to ensure our customers stay online and ready to serve during Cyber Week. It's a frenzy around here, just as it is for our clients (some of whom shattered their sales and traffic records during Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2016).

Being totally immersed in the world of eCommerce, much of our focus is on how we can increase sales, drive traffic and up conversion rates. While those things are all significant, they aren't everything. It's important to remember how fortunate we are to be part of this exciting industry, and to consider that not everyone is as fortunate as we are.

That's why we also make a commitment to give back. We do this through various initiatives, including helping out our neighbours at the Kanata Food Cupboard, and through fundraisers and events organized by the Thinkwrap "Do Good" committee throughout the year. We also support our clients with their own charitable efforts, including silent auction donations and charitable donations on their behalf.

This December we worked with Second Harvest, in partnership with our customer, Longo's, to provide groceries for families in need in the Toronto area. Second Harvest is a Toronto-based charity that has been rescuing and delivering surplus food to communities in need for over 31 years. It's the largest food rescue program in Canada and since 1985, has been picking up donated, surplus food, which would otherwise go to waste, and delivering that food to community agencies in Toronto. Currently, Second Harvest delivers rescued food to over 220 social service agencies.

"Only through the support of great partners like Thinkwrap are we able to keep our trucks on the road and ensure we can pick up and deliver  good fresh food to the 225 social service agencies we serve."

-Cori MacPhee, Director of Communications, Second Harvest

We think that's pretty awesome, and we're proud to support their massive efforts in any way we can. Want to get involved? Learn more about how you can help make a social impact with Second Harvest this season.
